What is SupplySide Fresh?
SupplySide Fresh is a program that offers online educational sessions plus virtual and in-person networking opportunities for new people — or people in new roles — in the nutrition industry. It is designed to help newcomers fast-track onboarding, navigate industry pain points and build community. Participants will gain the knowledge and connections they need to foster growth and innovation that benefit both their companies and the industry as a whole.
How many SupplySide Fresh courses are available?
SupplySide Fresh has two separate courses: SupplySide Fresh Supplements and SupplySide Fresh Food & Beverage.
How many sessions are in each SupplySide Fresh course?
Both SupplySide Fresh courses – SupplySide Fresh Supplements and SupplySide Fresh Food & Beverage – are made up of the following 8 learning modules or groupings of content. Module 1: Welcome, Module 2: Industry resources, Module 3: Running a business, Module 4: Due diligence, Module 5: Legal and regulatory, Module 6: Looking ahead, Module 7: Networking events and Module 8: Reflection and recognition. The number of sessions within each module vary, but there are currently 34 sessions total in each SupplySide Fresh course.

What is included in SupplySide Fresh?
SupplySide Fresh offers a comprehensive program designed to accelerate newcomers in the nutrition industry. It features three main elements:
- Short educational videos recorded by industry experts that broadly cover a wide range of topics, including legal and regulatory concerns, important partnerships, business management tips, technology use cases and many more.
- Informative PDFs that provide helpful information at-a-glance, such as industry acronyms, certifications and market research sources to name a few.
- Networking opportunities that connect participants with peers and industry experts, both virtually and in person at SupplySide events.
Each SupplySide Fresh course consists of the following:
- 34 education sessions
- 30+ industry experts
- 13 insight documents
- 16 networking events
How long does it take to complete the SupplySide Fresh program?
The SupplySide Fresh program is self-led, meaning you can access the education sessions in any order (after completing Module 1, which contains the overview and code of conduct) and at your own pace. There are over 28 videos and 13 PDFs in each course that are ready to view and will take approximately 15 hours to complete.
All participants will be given access to the course for one year from the date of registration, and there are several live webinars and networking events scattered throughout the calendar year. The webinars will be recorded and available on-demand. Networking events are not mandatory to complete the program, but they provide valuable opportunities for participants to connect, share experiences and build relationships that can enhance their learning and professional growth in the industry.
How long will participants have access to the course?
All participants will be given access to the program — current and updated (re-fresh-ed) content that is provided at the beginning of each calendar year — for one year from the date of registration.
Is there information about regulations outside of the United States?
SupplySide Fresh focuses solely on legal and regulatory issues within the United States, including information about the Foreign Supplier Verification Program.
Does SupplySide Fresh provide education about animal nutrition or cosmetics?
SupplySide Fresh Supplements includes a session about animal supplements and SupplySide Fresh Food & Beverage includes a sessions about pet food formulation.
